Lu Impostu beach, a pearl of nature in Sardinia

The strange name of this beach, Lu Impostu, means "shipment place" but the origins of this name aren't clear: probably Lu Impostu was a place of trade and boarding goods but today is a unpolluted location, suggested to travelers who prefer uncrowded beaches and multicolored vegetation.
 

Here, in fact, the natural environment includes marine thistles, wild lilies and mimosa trees, besides to a wide range of tourist services such as snack bars, rental of sun umbrellas, pedalos and kayaks, diving courses and a spacious parking area.
 

The sand here is very clear and thin, the sea water is light blue, the seabed is shallow and sandy, ideal for people who are on holiday with their children. It should be added that this beach is also accessible by disabled people, so it is a recommended stop for travelers who wish to fall in love with Sardinia.
 

To reach Lu Impostu by car you have to follow the State Road SS 125, direction Olbia - San Teodoro, get to the hamlet Lu Fraili (the name means "The blacksmith's shop"), turn left to Puntaldia - Lu Impostu and go straight for 2 km.
